New Wood Curtainwall System Project

The W. L. Hall Company was honored to play a key role in a recent project at the facility. The project, led by HGA Architects (Minneapolis) and Knutson Construction (Minneapolis), sought to warm up the campus by adding, among other things, H Windows' wood curtainwall system.
This project sought to give the campus a more residential feel by incorporating natural woods in lieu of more institutional-feeling aluminum and hollow metal. Products such as H Window's Timber curtainwall and 4” AW window systems, with both bamboo and pine wood finishes, were selected to help make the residents more comfortable during their stay. The wood curtainwall enhances energy efficiency by providing excellent insulation.
The use of bamboo materials in the timber curtainwall is noteworthy. It adds a distinctive and contemporary feel to the architectural design and aligns with the foundation's commitment to sustainability.
