From Design Intent to Drill-Sergeant Precision | MN Veterans & Military Museum
We were proud to collaborate with the teams at HGA Architects (Minneapolis) and Breitbach Construction (Elrosa, MN) to bring their design vision to reality on the Minnesota Veterans and Military Museum project at Camp Ripley in Little Falls— helping deliver a high-performance glass and glazing package designed to support both architectural impact and long-term building performance.
๏ปฟ
This meaningful project required thoughtful coordination, technical expertise, and precision execution throughout every phase of construction with their teams.
Our scope included the installation of EFCO curtainwall systems with Viracon high-performance glass, 24” deep Industrial Louvers architectural sunshade fins mounted to the curtainwall, Oldcastle interior all-glass entrance systems, and CRL display case doors featuring UltraView glass.
๏ปฟ
Together, these systems helped deliver a clean, modern architectural appearance while supporting long-term durability, daylighting performance, and a refined interior museum experience.
A Unique Architectural Challenge
๏ปฟ
One of the most distinctive features of the project was the integration of the 24” deep sunshade fins mounted directly onto the curtainwall system.
While these dramatic fins created a striking architectural appearance and enhanced solar shading performance, they also introduced significant thermal transfer challenges that required a highly specialized solution.
The Solution
To overcome this, custom thermally broken mounting brackets were developed specifically for the project—helping minimize temperature transfer while maintaining structural integrity, performance, and the intended architectural aesthetic.
Trusted Collaboration. Proven Execution.
Projects like the Minnesota Veterans and Military Museum demonstrate the value of combining innovative glazing systems, detailed engineering coordination, and experienced field execution.
We’re proud to have helped bring this important facility to life, collaborating with the outstanding project teams at HGA and Breitbach.
