Hayward High School (Wisconsin) "brings the outside in" in their auditorium design using Marlite Wall Panels
We teamed up with DSGW Architecture (Twin Cities) and Parkos Construction (St. Paul) to help bring northern Wisconsin's hardwood aesthetic inside Hayward High School's auditorium. Special thanks also goes to construction manager Kraus-Anderson Construction (Minneapolis) for overseeing the entire project.
Auditoriums can often be dark and bland, but DSGW wanted interior finish materials that reflected the north country hardwoods that the area is famous for. To maximize durability, high-pressure laminate (HPL) was chosen to replicate local, natural hardwoods.
Marlite's pre-engineered panel and trim systems mean that the entire scope of work can be specified in just one section. All components come from the same manufacturer to ensure they integrate seamlessly.
The hard surface of the HPL panels will also help deflect sound to help reduce the need for amplification and ensure the entire audience has the same quality listening experience.
