Livefront's Hospitality Lounge | Where Transparency, Acoustics & Flexibility Align

In collaboration with Studio BV Architects (Minneapolis) and Mission Construction (Minneapolis), we helped bring their design goals to life for Livefront’s Hospitality Lounge — realizing a vision centered on innovation, flexibility, and modern collaboration.

This project brings together two W. L. Hall Company manufacturing partners — Modernfold and Syntegra — into one cohesive architectural solution. Backed by 75 years of experience, our design-assist approach and technical expertise allow us to tailor each system to meet the project’s aesthetic goals, performance requirements, and life-safety standards.

Our value extends beyond product selection. Through early collaboration, precise detailing, and careful code and constructability coordination, we help ensure every solution — whether a single system or an integrated assembly — supports the design vision while delivering long-term performance and reliability.๏ปฟ

A unified architectural solution where flexibility and performance work seamlessly together through thoughtful integration.

For Livefront’s Hospitality Lounge, the Modernfold PureView Plus operable glass wall system was specified in a satin jet-black powder-coated finish to complement the refined interior palette. Laminated clear glass panels with 1-inch field-applied muntins establish architectural rhythm while preserving transparency and daylight flow.

The result is more than a partition — it’s a dynamic architectural element designed to support how the space truly functions.

Performance Meets Flexibility

Acoustic Confidence — STC 37

With an STC rating of 37, the single-panel configuration provides effective speech privacy and sound separation. Open collaboration can instantly transition to focused, acoustically controlled environments — without sacrificing visual connection.

Daylighting & Transparency

Expansive glass panels maintain clean sight lines and maximize natural light, reinforcing openness while supporting productivity and well-being.

Effortless Reconfiguration

The single-panel operable system allows the environment to shift quickly between open zones and enclosed meeting areas — eliminating the need for permanent walls or disruptive renovations.

Architectural Customization

From custom muntin detailing to coordinated powder-coated finishes, the system was tailored to Studio BV’s and Mission's design vision — proving that high-performance systems can also define a space's aesthetic.

Seamless Integrated Access

A Syntegra integrated egress panic device door — finished to match the operable wall — preserves the clean visual lines while providing a safe, code-compliant emergency exit and convenient daily access, all without compromising acoustics or design continuity.

The Syntegra system was chosen for its seamless integration with the operable glass wall and for enabling the Syntegra door to be independently locked (lockset) while preserving compliant egress functionality—an advantage not typically achievable with most door options within operable partitions.

Luminous Barrisol® ceilings and walls use color-changing LED technology to shape atmosphere and support how a space is used throughout the day. Neutral tones suit everyday operations, while richer brand colors can highlight events, milestones, or special moments. Warmer hues create a welcoming feel for evening use or guest receptions, with digital controls allowing lighting to evolve as branding or needs change—without physical alterations. Extending the same approach into the vertical plane, Barrisol® luminous walls are built on a lightweight aluminum framework, with integrated lighting and translucent membranes. The result is a clean, softly glowing architectural surface that delivers uniform, glare-free illumination and visual calm. When ceilings and walls shift color in sync, the space gains depth and rhythm, subtly reinforcing brand presence and guiding movement through key areas without relying on signage.

Here is a look at a current healthcare project we are actively working on, showcasing our expertise in complex glazing, interior systems, and construction coordination—the CentraCare Plaza Expansion in St. Cloud, Minnesota. We are collaborating closely with RSP Architects (Minneapolis) and McGough Construction (St. Paul) to help bring the CentraCare Plaza Expansion design to life. From the outset, their project teams carefully factored the complex functional and operational requirements of expanded outpatient and specialty care into the overall design, ensuring each building system supports both architectural intent and long-term performance.

For the executive conference room hallway at Boston Scientific Arden Hills, (Building 5, Floor 3) RSP Architects (Minneapolis) and Cobeck Construction (St. Paul) project teams established clear priorities from the outset: to create a visually striking, polished ceiling experience appropriate for a high-visibility executive corridor, while also providing effective acoustic sound absorption to control noise transfer from the adjacent conference room. We worked closely with the RSP and Cobeck project teams to bring their design goals to life through a refined, high-performing ceiling solution.

We are pleased to highlight two recently completed ZONA® LYNX telescoping glass wall projects, each tailored to the specific functional demands of its space. Working closely with the architects involved, we helped bring each project's design vision to reality, delivering precision ZONA installations that support flexibility, transparency, and long-term performance across both professional office and high-traffic environments. Both projects feature 3/8" clear laminated glass with a clear anodized finish, providing a consistent balance of durability, safety, and refined aesthetics. Below is a brief overview of each project and the unique advantages the ZONA LYNX system brings to each application.

We are fortunate to be engaged in a wide range of projects across the Upper Midwest at any given time—each one highlighting the diversity of systems and solutions we provide. Today, we’re pleased to spotlight one of the major glazing projects we are currently involved in: the Boston Scientific – Weaver Lake 4 Expansion. We are proud to be actively progressing on this expansion, delivering advanced glass and glazing solutions for a project that continues to elevate one of Minnesota's most impactful medical device campuses. Collaborating with HGA Architects (Minneapolis) and Ryan Companies Construction (Minneapolis), our team is helping turn their design intent into a fully engineered, constructable glazing system—one that delivers long-term performance, clean aesthetics, and exceptional durability for Boston Scientific.

Most building professionals know that air leakage is one of the biggest performance failures in commercial buildings. What is less understood is this: Air leakage doesn't move in only one direction. It can move inward (infiltration) or outward (exfiltration) — and each direction carries its own set of energy, comfort, and moisture-control consequences. Even worse, rolling doors have historically been among the weakest points of the building envelope.
