Minneapolis Eastside Maintenance Facility Kalwall Daylighting Project
In the early stages of planning for the New Eastside Maintenance Facility, the City of Minneapolis engaged HCM Architects and Adolphson & Peterson Construction for their design and construction expertise for the project.๏ปฟ
HCM Architects has a long history of collaboration with W. L. Hall Company to incorporate natural daylight into their projects. As part of our collaborative efforts, we presented numerous budgets and conducted multiple daylight modeling studies.
These analyses helped the HCM team select the most efficient systems, configurations, and apertures for this significant Kalwall installation.
By using Kalwall's advanced daylighting solutions, the City of Minneapolis demonstrates its commitment to sustainability and environmentally friendly construction practices. The strategic use of natural light reduces the need for artificial lighting during daytime hours and lessens the building's overall carbon footprint, aligning with the city's broader eco-conscious initiatives.
