Airfloor Radiant Heating and Cooling Systems

Most people acknowledge the superior feeling of comfort provided by a radiant heating system located in the floor. The problem is that most in-floor heating systems cannot cool a space and so a redundant, over head cooling system must be provided. Airfloor eliminates the costs associated with a redundant system by providing an in-floor system that offers both radiant heating AND COOLING! Airfloor uses a series of forms on the floor that are shaped like igloos. These igloos are interlocked throughout the floor and a concrete topping is poured over the forms. This concrete topping gives the forms the thermal mass needed to provide the radiant heating and cooling benefit.

Air (either warm or cool) is passed under the floor causing the mass of the floor to either warm or cool the occupants. Vents are located in the floor to allow the air to leave the floor, warm or cool the occupants and provide fresh air to the occupants. This system has been used in warm and cool climates in such varied applications as: private homes, churches, schools, condominiums, museums and any other space where occupant comfort, energy savings and clean air are highly valued.
